YUBEC Launches #MadeInGhanaChristmas Campaign to Raise GHS1 million in Sales for Women and Youth-led SMEs

The Ubuntu Youth Business and Entrepreneurship Centre (YUBEC) have launched the #MadeInGhanaChristmas Campaign 2025, a nationwide social impact initiative aimed at raising GHS 1 million in seasonal sales for 100 women- and youth-led Ghanaian SMEs.

The campaign introduces Ghana’s first-ever premium Made-in-Ghana hampers, specially curated with only locally produced goods from emerging Ghanaian innovators and young entrepreneurs. The hampers are designed to transform the year-end corporate gifting culture into a powerful engine for local economic growth. At YUBEC, we believe gratitude should not be limited to just gifting but creating meaning and impact with the gifts. With the Aseda Hampers, people will not only celebrate and put smiles on the faces of their giftees but also empower local entrepreneurs through the patronage of their products.

Even more, part of every Aseda Hamper purchased will support a dedicated fund for 10 physically challenged women entrepreneurs, providing them with resources to expand their businesses in early 2026.

The campaign represents a practical, inclusive, and sustainable approach to empowering small businesses at the heart of Ghana’s economy. This initiative goes beyond gifting. It is about strengthening the local value chain, creating jobs, and ensuring that women, youth, and persons with disabilities can participate fully in Ghana’s economic growth.

As part of the campaign, YUBEC has introduced the YUBEC Nkɔsoɔ Awards 2025, which will honour outstanding supporters of the Made-in-Ghana agenda. The awards will recognise top individual and corporate purchasers of the Aseda Hampers as 2025 Individual & Corporate Champions of Local Innovation.

Call to Action: Support Local, Build Local

YUBEC is calling on Corporate Ghana, government agencies, politicians, diplomatic missions, business leaders, SMEs, and all Ghanaians to demonstrate their commitment to national development by purchasing the Made-in-Ghana Aseda Hampers for their staff, clients, families, and community engagements.

We believe that locally sourced hampers are a practical avenue for every Ghanaian to actively contribute to strengthening the country’s SME ecosystem.

At YUBEC we also believe that if we want Ghanaian businesses to thrive, we must be intentional about choosing Ghanaian products. This Christmas, every hamper purchased becomes a vote of confidence in local enterprise and a direct investment in Ghana’s economic future.

The public is encouraged to place orders early, as demand is expected to be high.
